San Antonio, Texas.

Here is a copy of the e-mail I received in regards to where the 2011 World Sporting will be shot.

   Hi Steve:

The 2011 World Sporting Clays Championship will be held in San Antonio at National Shooting Complex on April 28-May 1, 2011.  There is another shoot called the World Sporting Clays, which will be held in New Zealand ; however, it is not the official World Sporting Clays Championship that is on a rotation every other year with CPSA.

IF you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact me.

Just a quick note for a clarification if possible.  There seems to be some conversation regarding the location for the 2011 World Sporting.  Do you know where it will be held?

Shocked HOTSHOT! NOW HEAR THIS! NOW HEAR THIS! The Official English Sporting World C/ship will be held in N.Z. thats New Zealand Nr Australia in the Southern hemisphere!  That where the British team will be going along with all the others!
Glynne Mosely might be a big noise in Texas but he don't cut no ice over here in the U.K.
So If you wannabe a big fish in a little pond shoot the S/A NSCA shoot but! if you got ambitions to beat "King" George you will have to go to NEW ZEALAND! Tongue

LOL, glad you got a response.  I sent emails to both organizations and called the NSCA.  Nada...  Notice that she doesn't actually call it the World ENGLISH Sporting Clay Championship.

This is going to be a bitch fest between the two bodies, pure and simple.  You can see it starting.  NOT good for the sport!!!

I have one question for the CPSA/BICTSF if anyone knows anybody over there...Are they perhaps supporting both events?!?

Smiley Jason, first the BICTSF is for International disciplines only!
English sporting is the CPSA's domain  Wink)
The CPSA has been going with the N.Z. shoot from day one, the NSCA's Texan version has not been mentioed in any official CPSA documents that have been published over here in the U.K.! Tongue

@Cyril I only mention the ICTSF because in the other thread there is a link to an announcement on the CPSA site that says "ICTSF World English Sporting" which was confusing to me.  http://www.cpsa.co.uk/news/2010/04/07/ictsf-world-sporting-2011

Cyril,  As usual you are full of more $h*t than a Christmas turkey!   The official World English Sporting event has been alternating between the US and England for many years now.  George and the rest of you limey's have been coming over here and we over there for as long as I can remember.
Even If they are going to call a shoot the World Sporting and host it in New Zealand, it is doubtful that it will be an official and sanctioned World Championship.

hello people.

As the winner of the World Sporting this year, i can say i will be defending my title in SAN ANTONIO 2011. I am undecided if i will attend NZ for there 2 bit world championships someone has to win it thats for sure but all the top shooters from the UK believe San Antonio as the REAL world champs.

I have spoken at length with the cpsa about cancelling the NZ shoot but there pride will stop them.

Grin Hotshit/Hotshot? I quote " The official World English Sporting has been alternatingBetween the US and England for many years now" (unquote?)
How long is "many years"? 6 mabe 6 at the outside?  Your memory is not very good is it? Altziemers/Dementia perhaps?
As far as the CPSA is concerned it is  Official whether Ben says so or not!
I will e mail Kate Digweed to check where "King" George is attending?

Well, I just got a phone call from NSCA director Robert Crow.  He said that the CPSA IS supporting the event in San Antonio and that the Brit team WILL be there.  Ben has now posted on here his thoughts, which I related in the other thread.  So San Antonio sounds pretty official to me.

It appears that perhaps the CPSA is trying to support both events for whatever reason.

Again, personally, I'm just looking for clarity on this issue.  Not playing sides.  Also this event has rotated from the UK to the US since 1996 or 1998.  More than 10 years.

Shocked I will e mail John Perry (CPSA temporary CEO) as to what the official line is regarding the World English Sporting! I know John as an honourable man and I expect a definate answer to this "problem?
I will send a copy of Bens post and ask for his comments! then perhaps this
"problem" will be clarified!
